Our sessions and classes

We are working on creating a weekly schedule that offers a selection of different and new classes for different energy levels and time availability.

In the meantime please feel free to join our daily Open Sessions and Return to Practice classes.

Open Sessions are 30 min long held throughout the day and with a max. of five participants so that everyone also has the chance to meet and chat to new people .

Return to Practice is 45 min long and held in small groups ( max. 12 participants). In addition we will always keep the class open for an additional 15-minute tea chat every participant is invited to join.

A focused, low-impact practice that strengthens the core, improves posture, and builds stability through controlled movement. Expect precise exercises that develop strength, balance, and body awareness. Unlike yoga, Pilates focuses primarily on stability and muscular control rather than stretching.

Mat Pilates (MP)

This is our core class we want to offer at Shala.Live and why I created Shala.Live in the first place.

A gentle class designed for people returning to movement during or after illness, injury, surgery, or early pregnancy. When joining a studio live class might either not be possible or feels overwhelming yet practising at home feels also a bit boring or daunting.

These sessions move at a calm and supportive pace, with simple Hatha-based sequences that help rebuild strength, mobility and confidence in the body.

While the class remains gentle, it is still an active practice. Students often leave feeling that they have stretched, moved and awakened the body — without the intensity or pressure sometimes found in stronger flow classes.

Classes are intentionally kept small so the teacher can offer careful guidance and space for each participant to move at their own pace.

This class is suitable for anyone seeking a kinder return to movement.

Return to Practise (RTP)

Baby Yoga is a space for parents and caregivers who want to practise yoga without needing childcare or a perfectly quiet room.

This class is designed for life with a baby or toddler at home. Children are welcome to be part of the practice — on the mat, nearby, or occasionally demanding all your attention.

The class may be messy. It may be interrupted. There may be laughter, toys on the mat, or a few tears. The teacher may even have her or his own child nearby.

At Shala.Live we believe that showing up for 10% of the class is still better than not showing up at all.

The practice itself is a gentle, playful vinyasa flow designed to help parents reconnect with their body, breathe, and move — even if only for a few minutes at a time.

Classes are 45 minutes long, with an optional 30-minute tea chat afterwards for anyone who would like to stay and connect with other parents.

Because we know that life with young children can be unpredictable, Baby Yoga classes are offered at a reduced price of £7. If you need to leave early or skip a class because the day simply didn’t go as planned, that is completely okay.

Come as you are.

With the baby. With the chaos. With the tiredness.

Just showing up is enough.

Absolute New to Yoga (ANY)

This class is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about Yoga but a little intimidated when joining a studio at seeing everyone else around seem to know exactly what the teacher is talking about. We will break down Asana poses, Vinyasa Flows and take the time explaining each pose and its name. The format is similar to Asana clinics that aspiring Yoga teachers do while training to become a Yoga teacher. We will make sure that you feel confident stepping into other classes after a few of these sessions.
