Throughout these Terms, “Shala”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Opposite The Edit Ltd trading as Shala.live.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, purchasing a class pack, booking a session, or using any Shala.live services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

3. Eligibility & Health Responsibility

You must:

• Be at least 18 years old (or 16–17 with parental consent).

• Ensure you are physically able to participate in movement-based classes.

• Seek medical advice if you have any concerns regarding injury, pregnancy, medical conditions, or recovery.

Participation is at your own risk. You are responsible for listening to your body and modifying as needed.

Shala.live provides guidance only and does not provide medical advice.

4. Accounts

When registering, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that misuse the platform.

5. Class Packs

Shala offers prepaid class packs.

Validity periods:

• 1, 3, 5 sessions: valid for 3 months

• 10, 20 sessions: valid for 6 months

• 100 sessions: valid for 12 months

Class packs:

• Are non-transferable

• Are non-refundable (subject to statutory consumer rights)

• Expire automatically after the validity period

It is your responsibility to use sessions within the stated timeframe.

6. Booking & Cancellation Policy

You may cancel a booked class up to 8 hours before the scheduled start time.

If you cancel within this window, the session credit will be returned to your account.

If you cancel less than 8 hours before the class, or do not attend, the session will be deducted from your pack.

We do not charge additional penalties or fines.

Late entry to live classes is permitted at the teacher’s discretion. You may be asked to join with audio muted to avoid disruption.

7. Live Online Classes

Classes are delivered live via digital platforms (e.g. Zoom).

You are responsible for:

• Your internet connection

• Your physical practice space

• Appropriate equipment

We are not responsible for technical disruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Live classes may be recorded for quality and educational purposes. Where recordings occur, participants will be notified.

8. On-Demand Content (If Applicable)

Access to on-demand content is granted upon purchase.

By accessing on-demand content within 14 days of purchase, you agree that the service has begun and your statutory cooling-off right is waived.

Content is for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be copied, shared, or redistributed.

9. Payments

All payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.

Prices are listed in GBP unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing in the future. Any changes will not affect previously purchased packs.

10. Cooling-Off Rights (UK Consumers)

If you purchase a class pack or digital service online, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase and receive a refund, provided you have not:

• Attended a class, or

• Accessed digital content.

If you attend a class or access content within the 14-day period, you acknowledge that the service has begun and your right to cancel is waived.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on Shala.live — including class recordings, teaching methods, branding, and materials — is owned by Opposite The Edit Ltd or its licensors.

You may not:

• Record classes

• Share login details

• Reproduce or distribute content

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Shala.live is not liable for:

• Injuries sustained during practice

• Losses arising from internet disruptions

• Indirect or consequential losses

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability which cannot legally be excluded.

Your use of Shala.live is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
